Wealth Creation Officers (Group Lending)

Role summary: 

We are looking for suitable and qualified individuals to fill the positions of Wealth Creation Officers (Group Lending) in our various branches. The officers will be reporting to the Branch Manager.

Specific responsibilities: 
  • Consistently grow the company’s product portfolio by marketing to individuals and groups.
  • Develop plans for growth of the product and identify suitable clients.
  • Conduct client education on the new products features and requirements
  • Conduct loan appraisals and make recommendations to the branch credit committee
  • Visit client business premises from time to time during loan assessment and monitoring to ensure the quality of the loan is maintained at the expected level
  • Participate in the setting of personal product targets and work toward meeting the same
Qualifications, skills and experience: 
  • Diploma in business related discipline from a recognized college.
  • A business related degree will be an added advantage
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in Group Lending from Microfinance Bank.

Direct Sales Agents(S)

Position:  Direct Sales Agents

Reporting to the Relationship Officer. The position holder’s key role is acquisition of new business at the same time ensuring quality customer service.

The key roles will include;

  • Deliver set Sales Targets in Loan disbursements and Quality Loan Book.
  • Provide Excellent Customer service at all times.
  • Actively participate in marketing campaigns to ensure clients are well informed of the product portfolio.
  • Seek customer feedback on products and services offered by the organization.
  • Provide daily Sales Reports.
Qualifications: 
  • Minimum of a Diploma preferably in Sales & Marketing. A Degree is an added advantage.
  • Previous experience in direct sales within banking, MFI, Insurance and related industries will be a definite advantage.

Internship Opportunities

Every four months, Musoni Kenya takes on a new team of 3-4 interns to stay for 3 month’s period starting January, April, July, and September. This position is for five days a week and can work with you and your schedule if this position could be the right fit for you.

Specific responsibilities: 
  • Develop new business opportunities by proactively marketing for individual loan products to suitable potential clients.
  • Interview, visit, analyze and evaluate borrowers and potential borrowers with emphasis on risks and particular focus on credit risk.
  • Prepare and make appropriate credit recommendations to the branch credit committee

Digital Financial Services (DFS) Manager

Role summary:

The Digital Financial Services Manager will focus on using mobile money, electronic payments and other forms of technology to promote our financial services within Musoni. The DFS manager will work directly with function and project teams to successfully implement and launch digital financial services through innovative distribution channels. The role requires strong project management skills to plan, pilot, implement and launch according to budget, resources and timeline. The role also requires extensive technical skills and experience to successfully operate innovative distribution channels and collaborate with MNOs, Fintech sector, Big data providers and other institutions within the digital finance sector.

Specific responsibilities:
  • Define and conduct the digital transformation of our financial services offerings
  • Oversee the design and implementation of all projects under the DFS portfolio
  • Develop and execute strategies for digital financial services
  • Lead the project team to develop alternative channels for Musoni to deliver digital financial services at scale.
  • This will involve partnership development, contract writing, project road mapping, dedicating appropriate resources, monitoring and evaluation, and assessing, managing and resolving risks and issues related to DFS projects
  • Ensure that the technical integration and developments are aligned with the business requirements and results in a seamless customer digital/mobile interface and user friendly digital/mobile operations.
  • Works closely with the MNOs and other technology partners to identify and rectify issues and further improvements
  • Manage the project team for piloting and implementing digital products and services and ensures ongoing improvement based on customer-client research
  • Provide implementing support to train and direct the operations teams to deliver on providing digital financial services
  • Ensure timely reporting of the DFS portfolio indicators and work towards improving month on month usage of Mobile Money
  • Responsible for managing digital financial services relationships with all service providers and stakeholders
  • Ensure adherence to risk and compliance for digital channels
Qualifications, skills and experience:
  • A University Degree in a Business, IT or related field
  • At least five years of experience in financial services, telecom, mobile money, electronic payments, and/or agency banking within MNOs, private financial institutions, consulting firms, or a combination of these
  • At least three years in a management position supervising a DFS team
  • Knowledge of related regulations, as well as the ability and confidence to engage across various Government agencies and the private sector
  • A strategic thinker with project management experience, strong oral and written communication and presentation skills and excellent organizational abilities
  • Ability to lead assignments and teams and work with minimal supervision

Project Accounts Manager

Role summary:

The Project Accounts Manager will manage all accounting and financial activities relating to Partners’ grant and fund projects. Reporting to the Chief Finance Officer, the Project Accounts Manager will supervise and manage all accounting and financial activities relating to the development, implementation, reporting and close out of Partners’ grants and fund projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, management, implementation, monitoring and reporting of project activities to ensure compliance with the project documents and Musoni’s contractual obligations and ensure close collaboration between the project management, partners and other relevant stakeholders in the project. : –

Specific responsibilities:
  • Work closely with project staff to ensure that the implementation and management of project finances adhere to required rules and regulations
  • Develop tools for and run financial aspects of project requirements in coordination with the project team and funders
  • To ensure that project cash flows (income, expenditure and fund transfers) are managed in a timely and accurate manner
  • Working with project team on key procurements
  • Review supplier invoices related to the project
  • Review time sheets for work related to the project
  • Create and submit government reports and tax returns related to projects
  • Compile information for internal and external auditors, as required
  • Ensure that appropriate procurement rules and regulations are followed as per project requirements
  • Assist the Chief Finance Officer in the preparation of financial forecasts, reallocations and budget revisions for both internal and funder reporting purposes
  • Follow up on timely reimbursements where necessary
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports as needed by the Project Manager or Finance Department
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor Degree in Finance/Accounting/Business Studies or related field. Post graduate degree is desirous
  • CPA (K) holder
  • 5 – 8 years of accounting and finance experience in banking/microfinance industry
  • Experience in project accounting administration, budgeting, implementation and oversight
  • Experience using multiple accounting systems including ACCPAC preferred. Experience using financial report writer tools beneficial
  • Experience in grant management an added advantage

S/he collaborates with colleagues to execute the design and development of interactive experiences for the digital space. S/he has a deep understanding of best practices for modern mobile and web design, including navigation, site structure, content hierarchy, user interface, user experience, usability, and accessibility. As a UX designer for our mobile and digital applications you’ll move the product design from concept, to wireframes and workflows, to hi-fidelity prototypes and finally customer ready solutions.

Specific responsibilities:
  • Understand complex product requirements and translate them into intuitive user flows and interfaces
  • Work closely with product development team to find elegant but practical solutions to design challenges that that meet users’ needs with maximum usability
  • Demonstrate an ability to clearly understand an end user’s perspective from user research, and provide design recommendations accordingly, creating task flows, navigation patterns, information architecture, concept diagrams, user journeys, and any other design artefacts

  • Solid understanding of user-centred design principles
